CALL FOR STUDENT ARTISTS
Macomb County 2025 Sketch Battle
Presented by the Macomb Intermediate School District, General Motors, and Sketchbattle Jr.
Hosted by Stahl's Auto Museum, New Baltimore

About: The MISD has partnered with Sketchbattle Jr and General Motors to bring high school students in Macomb County the 2025 Student Design Competition at Stahl's Auto Museum. Students will interact with industry designers, learn about careers, get professional design tips, tour the museum for inspiration, and show off their skills in a timed automotive themed design sketching challenge. Open to individual or groups of Macomb County high school art/design students enrolled in grades 9-12 with their teacher(s).
Date: Wednesday, May 7, 2025, 9:30am-1:30pm
Cost: Free to register (required) and lunch provided. Bus reimbursement available. Space is limited.

Annual Artist Choice Show

About: The Anton Art Center is accepting up to (2) submissions per artist. Open to new or existing members of participating artist groups: LPC, MCAA, RGA, STFAS, and WTCFA (membership information). Open to all media. Open September 2 - October 16, 2025. Juror Martine MacDonald.
Entry fee: $15 per artist
How to apply: Deliver entry form, artwork, and fee on receiving day at the Anton Art Center

About: The Anton Art Center is seeking volunteers for a variety of opportunities, such as supporting our gift shop sales, artwork receiving or pick-up, gallery preparation, exhibit receptions, classes, community engagement events, and more.

CALL FOR ART INSTRUCTORS

About: The Anton Art Center is seeking art instructors and is accepting class proposal submissions for review. Mediums may include jewelry, drawing, painting, mosaics, and more. We offer flexible schedules, lesson plan assistance, training, supplies, registration administration, and marketing support. Our classes are scheduled up to four or so months in advance. Classes and workshops vary from one day only to one day a week for six or eight weeks, depending on class type and classroom availability.

CALL FOR EXHIBITION PROPOSALS

About: The Anton Art Center is accepting exhibition proposal submissions for review from individual artists, artist groups, or guest curators. Applications are reviewed for a variety of limited available exhibition slots, typically between 10 to 24 months in advance. Exhibitions slots vary from 4-8 weeks for each of our two gallery spaces (Level 1 and Level 2). Proposals may be for one or both of the gallery floors.
