ArtParty Fundraiser
About the Event
Each year in September, the Anton Art Center hosts a spectacular party featuring a 'taste of Macomb County', which showcases area restaurants and caterers gathered under pavilions just outside our doors.
ArtParty guests stroll the venue sampling appetizers, desserts, refreshments and more, while enjoying music as they mingle and dance the night away. Our galleries and Art Market remain open during the event for guests to view current exhibitions and get a look inside our historic building.
This year’s ArtParty will feature live entertainment, 50/50 raffle, live art demonstrations and interactive activities, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the impact of the arts in Macomb County.
This year we are focusing special attention on new forms of entertainment and expanded art demonstrations, including new participatory activities for guests. These reimagined activities will bring a new level of interest and engagement and highlight the contributions that art can have on inclusivity, education, health, economic development, and everyday life.
We're pleased to announce the Honorable Mark Switalski (Retired) and Former Judge Jodi Debbrecht Switalski as Honorary Chairs for the 2023 ArtParty!
Presented by First State Bank, the Anton Art Center's largest fundraising effort of the year will take place on September 21st from 6pm to 9pm. This year's ArtParty theme is Express Yourself with the color 'Viva Magenta'. The event will feature a variety of entertainment options, including live music, art demonstrations, and hands-on art experiences which showcase the work the Anton does across Macomb County.
The Anton Art Center's ArtParty event is a highly anticipated evening of food, entertainment, and art where people can celebrate and mingle while enjoying the value that art has in our lives. The event draws supporters of the Anton Art Center, community members, and civic leaders from across Macomb County. Proceeds from the event support the Anton Art Center's programs. Tickets for the 2023 ArtParty event will be available for purchase beginning in August.
Art plays an important role in our communities by enriching people's lives, promoting creativity and self-expression, fostering cultural understanding and appreciation, and enhancing community development. Studies have shown that engagement in the arts can have positive effects on mental health, cognitive development, and overall wellbeing. Art can also be a powerful tool for social change, as it allows individuals and communities to explore important issues and express themselves in new and meaningful ways.
Additionally, the arts have been shown to have a positive impact on local economies by attracting tourists, creating jobs, and supporting small businesses. The Anton Art Center's ArtParty event not only provides a fun and engaging way for people to support the arts, but also helps to raise awareness of the important role that art plays in our communities.
