The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide juried student art event sponsored by The Congressional Institute in Washington, D.C. All Congressional Districts are invited to participate. The single best work from each participating district is displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year and the student is invited to attend the reception. All participating students are invited to lend their work to the MI-10 office for display for one year.
The 10th Congressional District of Michigan with community partners Anton Art Center and the Mount Clemens Public Library hosts the exhibition of the artwork submissions by students in grades 9 through 12 enrolled in private, public, parochial, or homeschool. Artworks were on display April 21 through May 8, 2025, at the Mount Clemens Public Library. The Opening Reception and Awards Announcement was on Thursday, May 8th from 5-6pm at the Mount Clemens Public Library. This event was free and open to the public.

First Place: "The Eye of Solitude" by Andrina Gadda, Grade 10, Warren Mott High School, Instructor Kayla O'Donnell
Second Place: "Roots of Effort" by Irving Palomet-Dorantes, Grade 9, Rochester High School, Instructor Jessica Huvaere
Third Place: "Liberation Through Art" by Pousi Bhowmik, Grade 11, Warren Mott High School, Instructor Kayla O'Donnell
Reception & Awards Announcement on Thursday, May 8th, 5-6pm (note new time) at the MCPL. This exhibit and event is free and open to the public.
