Welcome to the Anton Art Center Education Department!

We have a great team of Art Teachers offering programs in ceramics, loom weaving, acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, mixed media, acrylic flow and more. We offer classes and workshops for students of all experience levels and ages so that they may get creative in a safe and welcoming space! We hope you join us soon.  

Check back often as we add new programs all the time! Coming soon: beginner sewing, beginner knitting and jewelry making.

   

Please contact Peggy DiMercurio, Education Manager, at pdimercurio@theartcenter.org with any questions about class and event registration or to book a private class for your group.  

  • If classes do not appear on the class calendar, they are either full or not open for registration yet.  

  • Early registration for current students will begin 3 days prior to open registration.

  • Winter Session 1 is in Session - Our Winter Session 2 brochure will be posted February 1.   

POLICIES:

Refunds: Full refunds will be given ONLY when a registrant withdraws from class at least 3 days prior to the first day of class. Missed classes cannot be made up or refunded and registrations cannot be pro-rated, except in cases of illness. Contact pdimercurio@theartcenter.org if you need to request a refund or to report an illness.  

Cancellation: Classes will be canceled 3 days prior to the scheduled start date if minimum registration is not met. Students will be notified and issued a full refund. In the event of inclement weather, classes will be canceled if Mount Clemens Schools close. Students will be notified and make-up days or credits will be arranged.  

Interested in teaching a class or workshop at the Anton Art Center? We are seeking Art Instructors who have a passion for art and would like to share their creativity with our students in mediums including jewelry making, drawing, acrylic flow, painting and mosaics. We offer flexible schedules, lesson plan assistance, training, all supplies, registration, and marketing support. Have an idea for a workshop or class? First State Bank Tuition Scholarship - 2024 Scholarship Window is Not Open Yet 

In partnership with First State Bank, the Anton Art Center is proud to offer this new scholarship program open to Macomb County residents. Arts learning can provide important benefits for people of all ages, and this is particularly true for children and teens. Scholarships provided by First State Bank will allow students to register for classes at the Anton Art Center with no tuition or supplies paid out-of-pocket. Students awarded a scholarship will be acknowledged in social media posts by First State Bank and the Anton Art Center.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Eligible students must be under the age of 18 and qualify for free or reduced school lunch. Scholarships are awarded to qualifying students on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last. Students may receive one scholarship per fiscal year (October 1 - September 30).

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Visit www.theartcenter.org/classes to review our class policies and select from the available classes in the upcoming term.

2. Complete the below form, including the information for the requested class.

 

Upon completing the application, please allow up to 10 business days for processing. Scholarships and class registrations will be confirmed with the applicant when approved.

Customized Workshops

We offer customized, private workshops for your group! We can design both in-person and virtual programs for friend and family events, scout or school activities,  as well as corporate and community organization get-togethers.
